GIGABAT brings together all partners for meetings, discussions and white nights

Under the sunny skies of Stockholm, partners of GIGABAT together with the coordinators CIDETEC Energy Storage gathered for a productive and collaborative meeting, marking 1 year of the project’s life. The meeting was held at the premises of RISE (Research Institute of Sweden), where many technical and coordinative partners exchanged critical updates and charted the next steps for the project.

Each partner presented their latest advancements and milestones achieved in the past months, showcasing the project’s collective progress. Interactive sessions allowed participants to discuss challenges, brainstorm solutions, and align on strategic objectives. Specifically, two workshops were held in this occasion:

• an idea generation workshop held by RISE on LCA, where partners were asked to brainstorm ideas on how to decrease product environmental impact of GIGABAT cells, categorize them, evaluate them, and pitch them;
• an exploitation workshop held by ICONS focused on the creation of a library of exploitable results and stakeholders mapping.

This meeting not only strengthened the collaborative spirit but also highlighted the shared vision and dedication of all involved parties and allowed for the collection of interesting ideas and results to be used in further project actions. A visit to RISE facilities and laboratories completed the meeting.

GIGABAT is working hard on the production of a digitalized and sustainable value-chain for batteries production, and the beautiful setting of Swedish “almost-white nights” was the occasion for meeting in person again and discussing the results of the last 6 months.
